What are the best Derbyshire wedding venues? Well, I’ve spent (very) many years visiting them all and working with them, and I can confirm we have some real corkers!

I knew I was going to love spending the day with Lou & Michael after meeting them and chatting to them a few times. They had some really fun and creative ideas for their big day!

From the first idea to actually getting this photo session done took a little over 10 months. It was originally thought to be a late-spring or early summer project but thanks to Covid finally ended up getting shot in September.

I knew I’d get on really well with Kay & David from the moment I read their first email to me. It was written in a really informal and friendly way. They are such a cool and laid back family, and I thoroughly loved their whole approach to their wedding day.

It was a bit extra special to be at Amy & Andy’s wedding as we’d had the pleasure of welcoming them at the studio over the years for various family photo sessions!

Shottle Hall is one of those venues that works in any weather at any time of year, but wherever I visit, autumn is always a favourite time of mine for photography.
