Hi!

I’m Matt (with two t’s)

Some quick facts about me, in no real order…
I'm no fan of the limelight, but I can be entertaining when I'm behind the camera.
I love to laugh and joke with people.
I believe strongly in being honest, decent, and fair with people, and gamble on receiving the same treatment back.
I now have a lovely custom-designed home workshop and editing suite after running a studio for almost 30 years.
I love music, was almost a musician, but am better at photography :)
I have a lovely clever wife who works behind the scenes, a grumpy computer genius teenager, a daft cat, other various daft cats that think they live with us (they don’t), and an even dafter dog.
Finally, I have an expensive coffee and cake habit.

The ‘proper’ bit…

I joined Field Photographic in 1989 just a year after it was established, and never left! I gained a City & Guilds qualification in photography and very shortly afterwards was awarded Licentiateship of the British Institute of Professional Photography.

In the 1990’s, gained a Licentiateship of the Master Photographer’s Association, became studio manager, and eventually took over the business in 2000.

I’ve been lucky to enjoy working on an amazing variety of assignments over the years, no two jobs are ever exactly the same, and that suits me just fine! I now run Field Photographic from my home in a custom converted workshop and office.
