A styled wedding photography shoot at the River Mill, Derby

The River Mill wedding venue in Derby is the younger and smaller relation to the West Mill venue just across the road in Darley Abbey. It’s one of Derby’s newest and coolest wedding venues and I got to do a couple of little photoshoots there recently!

It has a rich history dating back to the 1800s. Originally used as a cotton mill, the building underwent several transformations (including being a garage) until it was converted into a venue recently. Many of the original features of the building have been preserved, such as the exposed brick walls and vaulted ceilings with original skylights, creating a unique and cool atmosphere for smaller weddings. The River Mill also boasts stunning views of the River Derwent, further enhancing its appeal to couples seeking a picturesque setting for their special day. With its fascinating history and beautiful location, The River Mill is on it’s way to being one of the most sought-after wedding venues in Derby!
