A spring wedding at the Kedleston Country House Hotel
Spring is my second-favourite time for a wedding (Autumn, I’ll always love you the most, you know I will), and the picture-perfect combination of St Matthew’s Church in Morley and the Kedleston Country House Hotel near Derby was the place for Fiona and Marcel to tie the knot.
We started off at the hotel to sneak a few candid shots of Fiona & her bridesmaids getting ready and then I whizzed off to beautiful St Matthew’s Church to meet Marcel, and get ready for everybody arriving. It’s hard to believe St Matthew’s Church is just a few miles outside of Derby, it couldn’t be more peaceful and serene!
I managed to get permission from the vicar to grab a few shots from the front corner of the church as the wedding service started, then swiftly scurried out and around to the back for the rest of the ceremony.
After a quick family photocall outside the church and a little wander around the gardens, we were off back to Kedleston for the wedding reception.
With its grand Georgian (I think) architecture and stunning countryside setting, it's no wonder why so many couples choose the Kedleston Country House Hotel for the wedding. I snuck in a few romantic portraits then settled in to get lots of candid shots of family and friends before dinnertime.
Check out the last few shots to see a bit of Ceilidh chaos too!
