The West Mill wedding venue in Derby is uniquely situated by the river Derwent in the heart of the Darley Abbey Mills heritage site.
Weddings take place over four floors of the mill so you get a different area to use throughout the day from arrival drinks to the ceremony, wedding breakfast, and evening entertainment later.

I love photographing weddings at the West Mill, it’s quite different to a lot of other venues in the area with its metal ceiling full of texture and character and amazing position overlooking the river. Many of the original features are kept intact, right down to the original glazed windows that feature some of the millworkers’ names etched into them.
Right across from the West Mill are apartments for guest’s use and yet another pretty riverside walk!
