Winter, bad weather, and low light weddings
Billy Connolly, one of my favourite people ever, once said “There’s no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong type of clothes” and while that may be very true on many levels I have to admit it might not apply so much on your wedding day.
So what happens if the weather isn’t great on your big day? Or maybe you’re getting married at 4pm on December 21st? Yes, I’ve been there, done that 🙂
The answer is quite simply – we get on with things and get some beautiful, unique images. Yes, there is some planning to do and there are backup plans to make. Everybody is different. You may not relish the idea of setting foot outside for even a second on a dark wet day, or you may be of the opinion that anything goes and not care less about going out in bad weather. Either way, you’re in charge, we’ll have that chat at your pre-wedding consultation and I’ll be ready to shoot your images exactly how and where you want.
Take a look at the variety of images below, they’re all taken either in mid-winter, in bad weather, after dark, or all three, and you’ll see that the weather won’t stop us getting beautiful photographs.
