Makeney Hall wedding photography – Kate & Jon

Makeney Hall is another one of those wonderful venues that I’ve worked at for almost all my professional career, since the early 1990’s at least!

Kate & Jon were a super cool couple, (well I suppose they probably still are!) really organised and on the case all the way through the organising process.

I arrived at Makeney good and early on the big day to visit Kate and her gang in the bridal suite where they were all getting ready. Kate showed me the awesome bouquet that she crocheted for herself, absolutely amazing!

The wedding ceremony was held in Makeney Hall’s outdoor ceremony area – a beautiful secluded spot in the woodland by the hotel garden. It’s great that the whole area is undercover so it’s a bit less susceptible to weather, and it’s so quiet down there!

After the ceremony, we worked through a pre-arranged list of family shots before heading off for our photowalk around the grounds of the hotel.

When it was wedding breakfast time, we headed to Makeney Hall’s conservatory overlooking the beautiful lawn. Check out that amazing cake by Kimbo’s Cakes too!
